A Little Bit of Our History

My story begins when my grandfather, Angelo Accarino left Italy for the United States from a small town named Trentinara near Paestum, south of Salerno in 1921. He arrived via Ellis Island, lived in Brooklyn and worked as a tailor. A year later, he married Cristina who was born a few houses from the same town. They had two children, Rosario and Catherine. They enjoyed time away from Brooklyn at their vacation home in Burlingham, NY which became my grandfather’s paradise. He spent many days in his garden and made his wine until he was 100 years old.

Viaggio is the Italian name for voyage. In memory of his legacy and with the help from my friends at Crushpad, I am proud to offer this wine in memory of my grandfather’s spirit, passion and his love for winemaking. We hope you enjoy this wine while you pursue your dreams and embark on your own voyage.
